Custom-built home has unique built-in features at every turn. This house was built by Limey Kay, now a La Honda legend. He was a genius with brick and stone and built most of the chimneys and barbecues in town, easily identified by the trademark abalone shell embedded somewhere in the project. The basement is currently closed off for remodeling which I do not expect to be finished for a few years. It is a very quiet and secluded location on a dead end street. La Honda is a great little town with an excellent elementary school, tennis courts, community swimming pool, hiking trails and a clubhouse. 20 minutes drive from I 280 at Palo Alto means a comfortable commute.

Rent is $1580/mo. Security deposit is 2 months. One or more year lease required. No smoking. Cats are OK, but the dog issue is a concern as there is no fenced yard, so your dog will have to be walked. DSL and cable available. Water is included in the rent (a $250/mo value). You pay gas and electricity. The heat, hot water and stove are all gas.
