Greetings once again during this Christmas season. Our Christmas is quite a bit different this year as we are spending it in Mexico. The water is warm, the air a comfortable mid 70's and dry. Our Christmas tree is decorated with shells and star fish we collected and we spend our free time swimming, sailing, walking on the beach and riding ATVs. It is a very different Christmas, but the main attraction is we get to spend time together as a family without distractions.

Although it seems a age ago, the summer began with Julie's graduation from Azusa Pacific with an Art degree, and Rebecca's wedding in Aptos. The wedding was a relaxed happy affair, with the ceremony at our church, Green Valley Christian Center and the reception at the Nursery. Rebecca and Daniel have bought their first home in Texas where Rebecca is finishing school and Daniel is working as a programmer.

Julie's Final Art Show

The fall of 2008 was spent quietly at home, with Julie settling in to her post-graduation role, living at home, teaching art part-time and serving as the new bookkeeper for Bamboo Giant Nursery and running the web store, Bamboo4Sale.com. Jonathan is working full-time at MSB doing product development and David is now the Installation Manager for Bamboo Giant, leading a crew all over the state installing bamboo hedges.

Lisa's health as stabilized and her cancer is now officially in the first stage of remission although recent heart problems are still a concern.

In November, Dad, David, Jonathan, Julie and Roger took off for a month of sailing in the Sea of Cortez. We ended up at our house in Buena Vista where Mom and the rest of the kids joined us.

For Christmas, David, Julie and Jonathan have had to return home to work, and Daniel will be joining us, as well as Rebecca and Daniel Gallagher.

With all our love, The Gullman Family
